this evening will be dinner and dancing in salem for my friend’s birthday. it is nice. the girls made me a haunted house today and they dressed up as “vampire-snake-zombies!!!” and i laughed so much but actually was mildly afraid. the weather channels have been threatening thunderstorms something awful but it’s all fallen through. the sky is blue and the humidity broke. i miss my mother, wishing i could turn my brain inside out and shake it to see what falls out. i’ve forgotten so many things.
